Plein Air Paint Out
En Plein Air is a French expression which means “in the open air” and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors. The Tukwila Centennial Plein Air Paint Out will bring artists from throughout the Northwest to paint outdoor scenes of Tukwila locations that are historically and/or culturally significant; showcasing the beautiful areas of Tukwila we see everyday.
Artists will be out and about starting June 13th and painting through June 18th. A finale event will be held on June 19 at the Tukwila Community Center and will include a public art exhibit, quick draw contest, and artist reception. The public is encouraged to view the artists as they paint; a list of locations will be available at the Tukwila Community Center.
