The Strawberry Festival is turning 100 this year and UMO is turning 20… To celebrate both of their birthdays, UMO will conduct youth performance classes that will create a youth ensemble to perform at the Strawberry Festival Parade along the UMO Cart. Youth performers will learn how to either stilt, do acro-balance techniques or juggling. 5 UMO performers will also accompany the cart and perform. It will be a European carnival themed extravaganza!
UMO began their creative collaboration in 1987. The company is committed to a permanent Ensemble of performers who create and compose their own productions. The Ensemble's creative process is rooted in physical theater: improvisations in movement, character, vocalizing and writing are the basis for the creation and development of new works.
